1. (C) Demetrious Johnson vs. #3 Ray Borg
After many failed negotiations, Mighty Mouse finally has an opponent for his record breaking fight. With a victory, Demetrious Johnson will beat Anderson Silva’s title defense record and set the record with 11 UFC title defenses. Since Mighty Mouse has seemingly cleaned out the Flyweight division, new contenders are able to appear with just a couple of wins. Ray Borg enters this fight with a UFC record of 5-2 and is currently on a 2-fight win streak. Although Borg is currently ranked #3 in the division, the highest ranked opponent that he has beaten is Jussier Formiga who is currently #6.
Las Vegas currently has Demetrious Johnson listed as a 9-1 favorite over Borg, and that may be the reason why most fans are already looking at what will be next for the current champion. It seems Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw finally have a date to fight, but both fighter have vocally expressed interested in dropping down to Flyweight to challenge Mighty Mouse. If that were to occur, it would undeniably be THE BEST MMA FIGHT AMONG LIGHTER WEIGHTS.
