Conor McGregor started a storm this past weekend by taking aim at the WWE and its roster of stars, calling them “messed up pussies” during the UFC 202 media conference call.

As you would expect, this didn't go down we'll with many WWE fans and those who genuinely dislike the UFC featherweight champion. McGregor popped up on Twitter sometime later and posted a tweet apologizing to WWE fans but once again took a shot at the entire WWE roster.

The response from the Twitter community was a mixture of anger, laughter, and disbelief , as McGregor single-handedly called out an entire organization he said we're “juiced up” a few days prior.

Some of the WWE stars themselves got in on the action.

Even Irish superstar Sheamus has his say.

You might think McGregor is warming up to an idea of a stint in the WWE, while others (myself included) see the tweet as a spot of marketing genius similar to that famous “retirement” tweet.

McGregor is currently preparing for his UFC 202 showdown with Nate Diaz on August 20th. The event will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be a rematch of their thrilling affair at UFC 196 earlier this year.
