After Saturday Night's UFC 201 there are some great match ups to be made.

Here are a few ideas for what could be in store for the not too distant future.

Rose Namajunas VS Claudia Gadelha and Karolina Kowalkiewicz VS Joanna Jędrzejczyk:

With Rose and Claudia, both ladies coming off of loses in the highest profile fights of their respective careers. The same story line played out in both fights. Rose had a great start against Karolina Kowalkiewicz, but the later rounds saw Karolina over power Rose and win a split decision. Claudia also had a strong start in her fight against Joanna Jędrzejczyk but faded late and lost a unanimous decision to the Strawweight Champion earlier this summer. Both scrappy women have something to prove, so why not against each other? As far as Karolina Kowalkiewicz VS Joanna Jędrzejczyk, an all Polish championship bout seems to be on the cards and makes a lot of sense. Could we possibly see it as the Co-main event of the upcoming European fight card headlined by Dan Henderson VS Michael Bisping? I sure hope so.

Nikita Krylov VS Bader/Latifi Winner:

The UFC finally has some new blood in an ageing Light Heavyweight division. Krylov knocked out Ed Herman Saturday night with a highlight reel head kick. The UFC needs to capitalise on the momentum Nikita is riding and give him a featured bout against the winner of Ryan Bader VS Ilir Latifi. Obviously this will be a step up in competition for the Ukrainian star but at this point he should be ready.

Robbie Lawler VS Kelvin Gastelum:

Saturday night Robbie dropped the Welterweight championship to Tyron Woodley, in a quick affair. A quick rematch does not seem to be on the cards but a fight against rising star Kelvin Gastelum would make sense. Kelvin is coming off of the biggest victory of his career, a one sided decision win against Johny Hendricks at UFC 200. He looks to continue his rise through the rankings and Lawler will look to rebound from his crushing defeat.

Tyron Woodley vs Stephen Thompson:

Look we all have heard about Tyron wanting the money fights against the returning Nick Diaz or GSP, but lets be honest for a minute; No one deserves a title fight against Woodley more than “Wonderboy”. He is on a seven fight win streak including the defeat of Rory MacDonald, Johny Hendricks and Jake Ellenberger. Although Woodley looked incredible in his defeat of Lawler, as a new champion Tyron should have little input on the decision process. A fight against Thompson next should be a no brainer.
