Here are a few fights to make after last nights UFC 202. By the way, how do you feel about rematches Joe!
Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo 2
Conor got his chance at redemption last night and won the rematch against Diaz. Now it's time to defend the Featherweight title. Aldo is the Interim champ and we need some validation from their first fight. Conor knocked Jose out cold and took the belt in 13 seconds. That was the first exchange. Very little was established during that fight except that Conor has crazy power and Jose can be hit. Lets see part two get booked while both are not tied up with any other fights.
Donald Cerrone vs Nate Diaz 2
The first time out Diaz beat Cowboy by decision. Since that fight five years ago, both men have improved leaps and bounds. An interesting factor in this fight is that both men compete at Lightweight and at Welterweight. This fight could take place at either weight class without either man being at a disadvantage. The two match up very well physically, Donald is an inch taller and Nate has a three inch reach advantage. This one is guaranteed fireworks and would be a top fight on any UFC event.
Lorenz Larkin vs Robbie Lawler 2
These two fought back in Strikeforce with Lorenz getting the best of Lawler and winning a unanimous decision. Lawler is coming off of losing the title to Tyron Woodley last month. Robbie needs a tune up fight and should be able to handle Larkin at this point but what if lightening strikes twice. After a shaky start to his UFC career Lorenz seems to have found his footing. Larkin scored an impressive first round TKO win over top prospect Neil Magny last night. Larkin has mow won four out of five since the move to Welterweight. A win over Lawler would create an immediate contender and would propel “Da Monsoon” to the top of the division.
Anthony Johnson vs Daniel Cormier 2
Rumble destroyed top ranked Glover Teixeira in thirteen seconds last night. He deserves the shot. Enough said!
